Chatelet

The centrepiece of the Place du Chatelet

3eme Arondissement

Hidden away castle-like building in the third

Paris-Plages

Now this might not seem too strange to Parisians (-ens?) but a man-made beach by la Seine is kind of cool for summer. Often with break dancers and bands playing later in the day
The Opera buildings seen from the top of Galeries Lafayette

Trocadero

Not the mainstay of the Trocadero, but the park and fountain area which was closed off during the World Cup for people to come and watch the games on the big screens

Sacre-Coeur - Built in 1914

The Basilique of the Sacre-Coeur, and the view from the top of the hill over Paris

La stade du France

Whilst not exactly a "landmark", still a must-see for sports fans, especially when les bleus are at home

Arc de Triomphe

View of Eiffel tower from the Arc de Triomphe - you can clearly see the streets lined by trees that go off of the infamous roundabout (where apparently there are fewer accidents each year than there are on the motorways)

Protests (October 2010)

My first experience of the protests in Paris - this one against the pension reform pushed through by Nikola Sarkozy

Pompidou part II

Another two taken from in front of, and on top of the Pompidou, this time looking out more South-East

1st attempt

This is the view we had from the top of the Pompidou centre, right next to my flat.
